Week Two

Describe the students' overall reactions to you being in their classroom. Are there some students who seem a bit uneasy or uncomfortable? If so, how do you plan to address this problem in the upcoming weeks?

I LOVE this rotation!! (: I'm doing my own vocabulary lessons with the students. The only real problem I've occured so far is illness. A lot of students and teachers are getting sick. I hope I don't.

The students come up and talk to me when I first get there. I feel the students are comfortable with me in their classroom. I help with a couple, but talk with all of them throughout the day. Each student asks me questions and communicate with me. If there was any student uncomfortable with me there I would try and talk and help that person more. I am very pleased with this classroom and I cant wait for weeks to come.

I believe that the students are very comfortable with me in the classroom. They always ask me to do activities with them and to sit by them. They always seem to be happy when I get there and to be sad when I leave.

The kids love that I am in the classroom they always want it to be there turn to go with me for AR (accelerated reader). In my other classroom that is a pull-out classroom the kids love that get to pull them out and help them. None of the kids are uncomfortable that I am in there or pull them out because they all say goodbye and give me a hug when I leave.

The girls in Mrs. James class love me. They all feel really comfortable with me being in the classroom. They all tell me about their boyfriends and how their boyfriends buy them promise rings and also how they are going to marry them one day! None of the girls seem uncomfortable with me being in the classroom. We all just get along like a little family.

The students overall reaction to me being in their classroom isn't any different than if I wasnt there. For the most part the students don't act like their uncomforable at all.

The students are fine with me being in the area with them. For some reason they all flock around me and ask me for help. I am enjoying this rotation.

Since I am in three different rooms throughout the three hours that I am there, I see many students. They all seem to be adjusting to me very well. Everyday I see a change in the attitude of the students towards me. Some of the student seemed uneasy but now they are not. The more you talk to them, the more they cling to you. I am looking forward to next week.

The students like me! They are always asking me questions like what kind of pets I have and what things I like to do. No, I don’t think that they are uncomfortable with me being in there.

Most of the students really seem to like having me in the classroom. Thursday, the student with severe autism interacted with me; that was the first time that had happened. Also, a few students held my hands as we walked down the hallway to go to Speech and Language. There's only 8 students in the class, and they all seem to like me. I really like this rotation. I'm looking forward to next week! :)
